Crastock Court
Transformation from parking space to new flats
This residential building was built in the 1960s on a bombed out site that is sandwiched within a classic white stucco Bayswater Georgian terrace, in the Lancaster Gate Ward in Bayswater W2.
Working with Emrys Architects, GMS Estates have created four new residential flats from the old, underused car park and access ramp area, together with renovation of the other flats to improve their energy performance and comfort. Part of our sustainable approach was to provide a low carbon centralised plant to serve the new and existing flats.
During the renovation, the reception/entrance hall, ground, and lower ground floors were completely renovated, together with re-fenestration and cleaning of the front facade.
